Madhur Upadhyay is Associate Clinical Professor and Director of Center for Orthodontic Care at University of Connecticut Health and has been teaching orthodontics and biomechanics for over 15 years. His research interests include biomechanics of tooth movement, skeletal anchorage, application of AI in orthodontics & FEM where he has carried out extensive in vivo & in vitro research. He routinely conducts courses on Biomechanics at University of Connecticut, University of Illinois, Chicago & Montefiore Medical Center, New York. He has published over 100 scientific papers, book chapters & abstracts in national and international journals and has made numerous scientific presentations at various meeting throughout the world. He has also been recipient of foundation & industrial grants. He is on the editorial board of various orthodontic journals, like; American journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJO-DO), Angle Orthodontist (AO), European Journal of Orthodontics (EJO) etc. Madhur holds a BDS from Manipal university and MDS from KLE University. He also has a fellowship, certificate and Master’s degree in orthodontics from University of Connecticut. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) and holds an active membership of The Angle Society. He maintains an active orthodontic private practice in Connecticut, USA. In his spare time, he loves to play & follow tennis. He also has keen interest in physical sciences, especially astronomy.
